The Open & Agile Smart Cities initiative (OASC) is a city-driven, non-profit organisation. The overall objective is to create a Smart City market. OASC was founded in January 2015 and came to life with the first wave of cities joining in March 2015.
OASC aims to kickstart the use of a shared set of ways to develop systems once for multiple cities and make them interoperable between cities, and within a city. A Smart City needs solutions that can be implemented with showing respect to local practices and job creation. Furthermore, comparability, easy sharing of best practices, and avoiding vendor lock-in is necessary to enhance a Smart City: OASC, thus, provides linkage – to cities all over the world and to (EU) funding – and advocates de facto standards for participating cities.
The European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) is the international federation of benchmarked Living Labs in Europe and worldwide. Founded in November 2006 under the auspices of the Finnish European Presidency, the network has grown in ‘waves’ up to this day.
ENoLL counts today over 170 active Living Labs members worldwide (395 historically recognised over 9 years), including active members in 20 of the 28 EU Member States, 2 of the candidates and it is present in 5 continents in addition to Europe. Directly, as well as through its active members, ENoLL provides co-creation, user engagement, test and experimentation facilities targeting innovation in many different domains such as energy, media, mobility, healthcare, agri-food, etc. As such, ENoLL is well placed to act as a platform for best practice exchange, learning and support, and Living Lab international project development.
The ENoLL international non-profit association, as the legal representative entity of the network, is headquartered in Brussels, at the heart of Europe.
In a digitally connected world, a broad range of tools and data is at the disposal of each business owner. It is a challenge for businesses to deal with the ever growing amount of available data, to gain actionable insights in the market they are operating in and to leverage the shared knowledge of the ecosystem they are part of.
We Connect Data supports organisations to (co-)create sustainable innovations based on aggregated data. We Connect Data provides a Data as a Service platform, unlocking the common knowledge of connected organisations and boosting the valorisation of business data.
In collaboration with the Creative Ring, We Connect Data set up the creative ecosystem on their ecosystem intelligence platform DataScouts. DataScouts allows the Creative Ring and other ecosystems to visualize, explore and engage what matters to the companies within a shared ecosystem.
